urban farm - group

I spent two years as Marketing Manager at UFG. I should note it wasn't a traditional marketing department — we were an extremely small team, and I was the only full-time person handling creative and marketing for the business.

​

During my time there, we evolved from a grow-your-own kit and wholesale supplier into the country's leading producer of Lion's Mane mushrooms. We were the first to bring Lion's Mane into supermarkets, and it was rewarding to see many others follow suit. From there, we launched the first range of prepared Lion's Mane foods aimed at tackling the issue of ultra-processed food in the vegan market.

product design & photography

One of the most exciting parts of this role was creating multiple product designs. My favourite was our merch line, focused on promoting Q4 upsells - a launch I orchestrated from start to finish, and I got to design some pretty cool clothes - for once, my work ended up in people's wardrobes instead of just their browser tabs!

supermarket standard design

This was my first time working with a supermarket, and there was a lot of red tape - definitely a learning curve for me. But the process was interesting, and we launched smoothly into Sainsbury's stores across the UK.

logo rework

To align with our move into larger retail spaces, I was given the task of updating our logo without completely redesigning it. The previous logo featured a fish as a reference to hydroponics, but a lot of people thought we were just really into Christianity.​

I created a new logo that keeps the existing shield design but uses a simpler, more impactful approach. The cleaner design works better across packaging, signage, and our website, while still maintaining a connection to the brand's original identity.

Over the course of my time at UFG I managed our various different social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube & LinkedIn. 

email marketing

due to budget constraints, we relied heavily on our email marketing to push seasonal campaigns as well as generate BAU revenue. All emails were managed on Klaviyo.

ad asset creation

Another major part of my role was creating both static and video ads. These were designed to meet the requirements and best practices for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, ensuring they performed well across each platform.

Ad creation was a constant focus due to seasonal campaigns, product launches, and ongoing BAU activity. Over the past two years, we ran a number of highly successful campaigns that delivered strong results and impressive ROI, particularly across our Meta advertising accounts. Safe to say I spent a lot of time convincing people to click on (and buy) things.

website design & SEO management

I 

I led the deign and creation of our refreshed website to align with our transition into a trusted figure within both the fungi and retail spaces. This work was all done on Shopify, however, I also led the creation of secondary websites on platforms such as Carrd - a useful design tool for generating attractive one page hubs for product information.
